Magpie is the sole distributor in North America for sMRT Products to the military and other Government agencies. Our product line includes the latest technologies to meet current and future regulations world-wide. sMRT Products include additional AIS technology that form a comprehensive solution to ensure full integration of all the equipment that give mariners, and other professionals working around or on watercraft the best chance of survival if an incident were to occur. This sMRT integrated solution, along with a fully integrated SOLAS Lifejacket will greatly assist in the fast recovery of MOB casualties, enabling swift self-recovery by the casualties own crew. Our customers include the US Navy, the US Coast Guard, and First Responders (SWAT, Fire and Police) as well as petroleum workers.

 Our state of the art products include Personal Locator Beacons (PLB),  a personal electronic transmitter used to alert rescuers that there has been a life threatening man over board (MOB) situation with a need to be rescued. When activated, the PLB sends out a signal on either a 406MHz frequency or Local  Area System using 121.5MHz, VHF DSC and/or AIS. Often used in addition to other MOB protection equipment such as life jackets (PFD) or survival suits, PLB’s perform a critical function in the MASLOW of survival during an MOB situation.
